List #15: All my NABLOPOMO Posts

So this is the last day of NaBloPoMo, hosted by San at the “in between is mine“. I made it, although my Feedly is next level. It has been wonderful getting to know some new bloggers this year, and I think I made it to everyone’s blog at least a few times a week. I learned that I have more ideas for blog posts than I have time to write. I think I have a longer list of post ideas than when I started. I’m not sure what the answer is to that. Find more time? Seems unlikely. Write faster? I wish I could. I am such a slow writer, although I guess practice improves that.

Here are the posts that did make it out of my head/drafts folder and onto my blog:

  1. I’m Back, NaBloPoMo … and a Few Other Good Things
  2. A Week in Paris
  3. 101 Things: 400 Day Review
  4. A Pandemic Habit that Needs to Go

The plan is to finish my posts about our trip, the books I’ve read, and the rest of the AMA questions before Christmas.

How did you find NaBloPoMo this year? Did you have more ideas than days of the month?

  1. Congratulations on making it all the way Melissa! Well done all of us!

And yes, I definitely have more blog post ideas than when this month started. At least 30 more in a row, if only time would permit it. 🙂

    1. I look forward to reading more on yuor blog.

  2. I love that you had more post ideas than day to use them all… this is what I love about NaBloPoMo that by creating a daily habit of writing/posting, you flex your creative muscle and end up with more material to write about.
It takes me insanely long too to write a post, so I need to learn how to do it faster 🙂

Thanks so much for joining again this year and I love that I found some new-to-you connections!

    1. THanks for hosting San. If you find some tricks for writing faster please let me know.

  3. I’ve enjoyed your blog this month. I’ll be back to read more.

I completed NaBloPoMo and I’m glad I did it. I did it last year for the first time, but had to stop a few days short because our lawyer told me to get off of social media, etc. Some of my readers were emailing me, noting that it was becoming a little more clear what my true identity was because of all the media attention. Short story, we sued our school district. It was a nightmare, but ultimately our concerns were considered and changes were made.

Anyway, I had a whole list of posts (some of which I wrote and some that were just ideas/plans) and there were several that I didn’t get to. Even when I write everyday, I have extra things to share. My cell phone service switching nightmare ended up being a big focus. I couldn’t have made that up if I tried.

    1. The cell phone saga was ridiculous. Thanks for reading and commenting here and I look forward to reading about more shenanigans (hopefuly no more of the phone cell variety) on yuor blog.

  4. Congrats!! You did it!! Do you think you’ll post more often after this exercise or go back to your regular posting schedule? I’m often curious if November is enough time to instill new patterns or habits.

    1. Posting everyday is a lot so I’ll go back to my usual three posts a week I think. Even then it’s sometimes a stretch to write them.

  5. Yay! Congratulations on completing NBPM. I definitely had some ideas that never made it into posts… maybe those will show up in December. I really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts this year, although sadly I just couldn’t get to all of them. Like you, I tried to get to everyone’s blogs at least a few times, and more often than that for blogs I follow regularly. I hope you’re planning to do it again next year!

    1. I’ll probably end up doing it again next year. Although I feel like I need to have more posts written in advance.
