Melbourne Street Art

Melbourne is apparently world-famous for its street art. I want to do a tour one day and learn more about it because I’m clueless, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying it. If I have time, when I go into the city, I like to scoot down some of the laneways and check out what’s around. This is what’s around at the moment. See above why I can’t offer you expert commentary.

There are also a series of commissioned works called Flash Fwd. I’ve linked the page for each one so you can learn more.

  1. We have a lot of murals in town that represent local history. It’s something our little town is becoming known for and I really love to see it!

  2. Our town has a few murals which are lovely, but I’d appreciate even more.

This summer we visited Toronto as a family and one of our favourite experiences was visiting ‘Graffiti Alley’ – the artistic skill of some of the creators is mind-boggling! So much talent and it’s on full display for everyone, free of charge!

  3. I love street art and urban grafittis. It is such a different culture. I have no clue either but sure like looking at it. You have some beutiful pieces here. I like the dancing people.

  4. I love Street Art – I think it can really shape a city. We have a lot of murals here in Sacramento – I know there even is a tour that you can take). I’ve seen many, but not all of them by far. One of these days I want to take an afternoon and drive/walk to all of them.
