whether I’ve caught my daughter’s cold or I’m feeling crap because of the COVID booster I had yesterday afternoon. I’m hoping it’s the latter because then the worst should be over in a day or so, although I did have lingering fatigue for 1-2 weeks with the other shots. We have to pack up the house and move this week, so I’d prefer not to be sick as well.
It’s probably not the best timing for the shot, but I became eligible after our bout with COVID the week before my half-marathon race in October and wasn’t going to jeopardise my shot at a PB. (Which was successful, by the way.) In spite of the move I had some good reasons for choosing now:
- Our CHO warned last week that we are at the start of another wave.
- I expect my training will be a little interrupted by the move anyway, so I won’t have an interruption from the move plus another if I got the shot later.
- My next race is a 28km trail run in mid-January which I won’t be looking to run super-fast, so I can afford some interruptions in my training now.
- We have a weekend away in late November.
There are currently boxes sprinkled throughout the house, which I’ll hopefully add to today.

All the best with your move. I had to do that this year in April and while a new start is always an oportunity I hated packing it all and the repacking and figuring out a new storage place. Hope all goes smoothly.
