I am resurrecting another post format from my old blog—12 photos taken on the 12th of the month.
Writing my shopping list. some of you might recognise Julie’s blog post. I realised I only needed three things, so probably didn’t need to write out a list.Walking Riley. He sometimes does this slow walking and drops way behind us. I had my 4:1 personal training. Is it still considered personal training when there are four members to one instructor? I feel like it is, and I prefer it to having someone watching me constantly. He sets different exercises for everyone so it is personal in that respect. After the gym I picked up the groceries but I forgot my fold up bags so had to carry this box all the way home.I was hungry after walking, doing a run and then going to the gym. I scrambled up some eggs with leftover roast veggies, some rainbow chard from the garden and a couple of tomatoes for an early lunch. The PT session wrecked me so I hopped into bed for a nap.We have just been signed up to Copilot for work, so I checked it out.Riley hangs out while I work.Cooking dinner. Julie’s Sweet Potatoes with Curried LentilsThis was super easy and tasted great.A little bit of TV watching—Down Cemetery RoadThere was a possibility of the Southern Aurora being visible in Melbourne tonight, so we walked down to the beach to have a look. We came back disappointed at around 10 pm, and were doubly disappointed when we saw people’s posts of the Aurora taken at 10:30 pm. Going through my photos today for this post, I realised it was there at 10 pm, just very faint. You can just see the green tinge in my photo. I’m not going to count that as a sighting, though. I want to see it properly one day.

Yay! I’m glad you tried the recipe and enjoyed it!
I have questions about the Northern/Southern lights. I have never seen them, and I see all of these spectacular photos. What I want to know is what is visible to the naked eye vs what is visible to the camera? Your picture is a perfect example. You didn’t see anything, but your camera picked it up. I know it’s spectacular often, but is it as good as it is in a camera?
Oh bummer you missed the southern lights by such a small margin.
I agree I wouldn’t count that flicker of light a sighting either. You gotta see the proper thing and be speechless.
It is the third blog featuring this recipe. I think I am creating some FOMO.
Oh how I wish I could say these words from my own home: Then we walked down to the beach.
Bummer – ugh, I can’t believe the lights got better right after you walked home. Dang it.
I would be hungry after that exercise too, and that lunch looks amazing. I was in a workout class thing once, that was sort of small group training, and I really liked it. I ended up meeting a dear friend in that class.
Those dishes both look so good! Yum! This is a good reminder for me to add the lentil dish to a future meal plan. It looks like a great dish!
I missed seeing the northern lights here last week. Phil went to see them when we were all in bed. They were red here, though, with just a little green.

I think it is much better closer to the poles, I’ve done a post about it.

I love being able to walk to the beach. That was one of the reasons we moved here.
Riley is so cute!
Oooh those are some yummy looking dishes, Melissa!
Riley knows how to look cute, that is for sure.
I really like this format for a post–it’s a fun slice of life.
Thanks
