A Non-post Post

I have some half-written posts waiting in the wings, but I want to start December with a clean and organised house, and today may be my best opportunity to make that happen since we are going away for the weekend. Since it’s NaBloPoMo I couldn’t miss posting today so I’ll leave you with this photo of the puzzle we are working on at the moment. I have been doing the water.

I will be staying well away from this today so I don’t get sucked in because: 1, I need to clean the house and 2, H will not be happy if I work on her puzzle while she is not here.

What would you like to get done before the end of the month?

  1. Hi Melissa,
I’d love to do a nice big puzzle.
It’s hard to believe that November is practically over.. this is a busy week/weekend for us since it’s my oldest 8th birthday and it’s Thanksgiving in the US. So lots of cooking (my husband does all that) and a few 8-9 year olds in our house on Saturday.
I guess I want to decorate the house for Christmas, have the lights, the tree, all set. Then come December 1, we all can enjoy the spirit!

    1. I hope the birthday and Thanksgiving celebrations go well.

  2. How many pieces is that?? It looks huge!

    1. This one is 4000 pieces. These puzzles are my daughter’s favourite. I’m sure she would love to do a bigger one, but this is our limit for fitting on the board and moving it out of the way if we have people over.

  3. I just got a puzzle from a friend who was done with it – hoping it’ll give R and k something to do this week, since they have no school. I would really like to have my annual Christmas poem/recap done by Dec. 1st. I worked on it a lot yesterday. I’d like to have it ready to read it to the kids when they are home. They give feedback and make requests that some info about them gets edited out. (the poem is a funny look back at the nonsense that goes on, for the most part). After the final is approved I add photos to the margins/extra white space. It’s a chore, but this is my 18th year doing it. Housework – well, that would be amazing. I’ve got that on my agenda for this week too. Hoping to delegate.

    1. That is amazing that you have kept up with the annual poem for 18 years. I lasted doing an annual video for 5 years LOL. Hopefully you can rope someone in to take over the housework.

  4. Hey Melissa! Nice to hear from you. What i want to get done by the end of the month is to get all these fliwer bulbs planted! The company doubled my order so I have about 100 more crocus to plant, plus some tulips. They only mailed them last week so way too late.

    1. That sounds like a massive undertaking, and with a tight time frame.

  5. I love doing puzzles. This one looks gigantic and very difficult. Thanks for stopping by today, it was good to hear from you. Happy cleaning and organizing!

    1. It is 4000 prices. The water has been not too hard but I think some of the parts the girls have been doing are harder

  6. I love how consistent you are with your puzzle work! This is beautiful. Do you have a dedicated table for your puzzles?

    1. We have a large dining table, so can seat for family dinners at one end and we have the puzzle on a board so we can move it easily.
