Yamba August 2026 In Photos

I thought I had better get this post done before we jet off on another holiday! We stayed three nights in Yamba on our way back from Noosa. While there I finally took my proper camera out and about—a goal of mine is to do this more. One of the mornings I even got up and got out to the Angourie pools just after sunrise, which was a big call for this non-morning person.

Pippi Beach. This beach was across the road from our apartment.

  1. Wait…a kookaburra is a real bird? I honestly thought it was just a joke to make songs rhyme. THE MORE YOU KNOW! Your photos are lovely and I’m glad you had a great time.

    1. LOL, that is so funny and also the kookaburra call does sound like they’re laughing.

    2. 1000% real. I went for a walk to the loo at 5.30 am while camping, kookaburra laughed t me. Probably thinking “look at this fool who didn’t sleep in” 😂

  2. I love these photos! There’s something great about photography in that it makes you slow down, look around, and really appreciate life.
