WITL: Friday, May 5th

7:00 Wake up. Check-in on the Wild.Ai app. Lectio 365. Pray.

7:27 Get out of bed. Put on the steam oven. Get dressed. Current temp: 10.6C feels like 6.8. Forecast: Top of 18C, rain in the afternoon and evening. Put on porridge. Read bible. Eat breakfast. Read my morning book and do the NYT puzzles. Clean teeth.

8:20 Walk Riley

8:56 Get home. Planning. Fridays, I usually try tidy up all the loose ends and sometimes have an adventure. Today I don’t have heaps of outstanding items. We are going into the city for dinner with some friends tonight, and I’m considering going in early to see an exhibition at the NGV and doing some shopping. Still, the weather is forecast to turn, so if it comes in early, I’ll probably skip the pre-dinner activities because it won’t be pleasant. Make bed. Get changed into better clothes. Chat with our son and his girlfriend.

When he needs to go out Riley doesn’t make a sound, just sits and looks in the general direction of the door.

9:45 Hubby finishes his errands and drives past the apartment to pick me up. We go to the joiner to discuss cabinetry for our study.

Coffee at home is usually a short black expresso.

11:37 Home again. I’m feeling hungry. Make some toast and have a coffee. Clear email. Chat with my Dad. Mum and Dad are leaving for a trip to Sicily and Malta today. Read blogs. Heat lunch.

13:21 Work. Today is just checking email, ensuring everything is filed correctly and logging my hours.

13:43 Clean up the kitchen. Do my foam rolling.

14:20 Leave for the station.

13:05 Arrive at the NGV in Federation Square for the Melbourne Now exhibition, celebrating new local art and design. There is a big variety of artworks. I spend about 90 mins looking through the three levels of the gallery.

Bourke St Mall

16:30 Do some shopping. I’m looking for a dress but am not successful. It starts to rain.

19:15 Meet Hubby and our friends at Chin Chin. It’s our first time there, and the food is excellent. Very busy and very noisy. Late 80’s and early 90’s tracks were playing for the duration of our 1.5-hour sitting.

9:35 Arrive home. Hubby had driven in and parked close to the restaurant. Riley is saturated. He has a kennel but he doesn’t use it. We dry him as well as we can.

10:00 Check tomorrow’s weather. Put out clothes for running. Have my bath and read my book.

10:50 Lights Out.

  1. Sounds like a lovely Friday! A curious exhibition at NVG, I especially like the colorful feline. Tying up loose ends and having an adventure should be a law on Fridays :))

    1. Yes, it certainly should be law. The exhibition was definately interesting and had sometihng for everyone.
