Checking in half-way through the month for this round of the CBWC hosted by Elisabeth. I count walking and running in my activities and I prefer to walk when doing errands if possible. I have not been taking many photos though—I will need to remedy that.

  1. Love seeing the step count. And Riley! <3

  2. RILEY!! Such a happy dog! I love to see it. My dog is my walking partner every day and I feel like I am wasting walks if she’s not with me.

    1. I don’t take Riley very often when I’m running errands unless I have someone with me, but he is very good when he is tied up at the shop

  3. Fantastic!
Lolololol NO. I can’t walk anywhere! I’m out in the sticks. But when we lived in Calgary I could walk everywhere, because we had that kind of neighbourhood. Now it’s a kilometre just to get off my rural road!

    1. I guess you’ve replaced being able to walk places with constantly being in nature so not bad.

  4. Wow. You walk everywhere, or so it seems. I can walk to church. I can walk to my folks’ house (which is very handy, but I usually drive. I make more of an effort to walk there in the nicer weather. Their house is on my run so I can stop by if I want to while I’m running, but it’s usually too early). I’d love to be able to walk to more places, but we are in the suburbs and it’s not really feasible. It would probably take me an hour and a half to walk to my doctor’s office. And it would take me longer than that to walk to my haircut. 😉

    1. I catch the train to get my haircut because it is a fair drive and difficult to park for the time I need to get a cut and colour. I really love being able to walk lots of places. When we moved we were specifically looking for church we could walk to because we couldn’t do that before

  5. Your steps are so high. Amazing. I am not able to walk to everything. There are just woods around. Today though I walked to the Good Friday service at church and then took a longer way back home. That was very needed.

Walking without errands takes up a lot of time.

    1. It makes it much easier to get steps in when you don’t have to make a special thing of it

  6. Well done!! I am glad you are able to get some nice long runs in. It didn’t seem so long ago that you were still recovering and now you are back to running for an hour+!!

We can walk quite a few places from our house. We routinely walk to Starbucks, the library and church. I can walk to other coffee shops and a few restaurants, too. Living in a walkable neighborhood was really important to me!!

    1. It is great to be back running, it’s feeling hard at the moment because I’ve been tired in the UK but I’ve had some spectacular runs.

  7. I can walk to one grocery store pretty easily, and a couple of restaurants. Also a library, though that’s a long walk, not a quick jaunt. You got in a lot of steps, and I agree about counting both running and walking.

Dog walks are the very best.

    1. Our library is a fair walk too, but it’s an easy bike ride
