Reentry

We arrived home on Wednesday morning and it’s been a tough reentry. Thursday night, the jet lag really hit me and I spent hours in the middle of the night awake even though I took melatonin which usually works for me. Last night was better, so hopefully it will improve from here. Thursday I went for my first run since the marathon. Well, run/walk because I’m still getting over a chest infection I picked up in Germany. The weather for the first few days after we got home was hot, and since daylight savings started while we were away, we had the perfect conditions for an after dinner sunset walk. I’m saving my holiday recaps for NaBloPoMo.

And in other news H is getting a puppy next week and today was visiting day. G and I went up along with H,S and K (E is away working this weekend). Alphie will be the puppie’s name and he is a relative of Riley. I’d almost forgotten how cute a bunch of puppies can be.

  1. Welcome home, Melissa! Although the jet lag and chest infection sound like a pretty rough welcome back! I hope you’re feeling better soon!

Oh my goodness, those puppies!!! They are absolutely adorable. Awesome that Alphie is even related to Riley, ha!

Looking forward to your holiday recaps on NaBloPoMo!

  2. Puppies! So cute. The photo of the sunset (sunrise?) is beautiful. I hope you’re sleeping better SOON. That’s the worst part of long trips, right?

  3. Welcome back. Can’t wait to read all your recaps.
I am sorry to hear you picked up a chest infection.
    These puppies are cute.
