It’s November which means we’ve come to the end of the Cool Bloggers Walking Club for October 2026. Elisabeth’s CBWC is where we do 10 mins of walking, or other activtity, every day. A lot of the month G and I were traveling so there was lots of walking. I haven’t included all the walking here, there was a lot of walking to transport, food etc, this is just the highlights. Here’s the summary of my month:

October 1: I wandered around Rothenburg ob der Tauber the cutest medieval town. I was by myself here so I got a stranger to take my photo in front of the instagram hotspot. 12,675 steps
October 2: I climbed the tiny, steep stairs up to the top of the Rathaus tower. 16,965 steps

  1. I just want to say that I LOVE it when you post photos of birds. They are so different from the birds we have around here!

  2. OMG – your photos are so beautiful. Fun fact – I turned 21 in Munich.

  3. I was wondering how you managed to circumvent Switzerland when travelling from Germany to Italy but now I see you took the Austria route. These are some beautiful locations!
    Which one surprised you most?

  4. I think you won the CBWC when it come to how many locations. And probably for most gorgeous locations too.
It truly looks like a great month and your step count is crazy. But then it always is on vacations, right?

  5. Wow, you did a lot of walking! As I was reading the first week, I was reliving memories! I went to Rothenburg ob der Tauber a couple of years ago and it was super cute! I also stayed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and hiked to the top of the Zugspitze when I was there! It sounds like you had a great vacation! I also love the photo of the bird, as this is something that we would only see as a pet (or in the zoo) where I am from!
