    6:37 Wake up. I did not get a great sleep again. I resolved to go and get vitamin D and Mg today. I stopped taking vitamin D over the summer but probably need it again now. Lectio 365. Prayer. 7:00 Get up. Put on the steam oven. Get dressed. Current Temperature 9.0C. Forecast: Top 17C. Slight chance of a shower. I put the porridge on to cook and do my bible reading. Eat breakfast and read my morning book. 7:40 Planning. Do some research for a possible outing on Friday and our upcoming holiday. Update my exercise log. 8:43 Clean teeth. Make bed.     6:50 Wake up. Not a great sleep last night. Woke up a couple of times and took ages to get back to sleep. Lectio365. Pray. 7:27 Get up. Get dressed. Current temp 11.6. Forecast 18C with rain. 7:50 Eat my pre-workout breakfast—almond butter and banana on toast. Read the digital paper. 8:09 Go to PT. With my poor sleep and quick turnover between a hard running session and this morning, it feels hard. Legs and arms are both shaky by the end. 9:00 Finish PT and start walking home.     6:48 Wake up. Lectio365. Prayer. 7:20 Get Up. Turn on the steam oven and get dressed while it’s heating. It’s currently 12.5C. Forecast: Top of 19C with a high chance of showers and a possibility of thunderstorms. 90% chance of 5-10mm of rain. Prepare my porridge. While it’s cooking I do my bible reading.     WITL: Monday, 1st May

    I’ve done a few of these “Week in the Life” at different stages in my life. I’m in a funny stage right now. During the pandemic years, I finished studying, my 2-day staff position at my previous church finished, and as we moved, all my volunteering finished too. My hours at work have also reduced, as I finished a significant project, and we’ve changed some aspects of the business that have reduced my workload. My youngest child finished school, and our daughters are now in a place of their own. All this means that my weeks are fairly open regarding time allocation.     Looking Forward, Looking Backward – April 2023

    Reviewing my progress on my April intentions and setting my intentions for May. Daily Routines: I was on and off with these but generally successful with weekday Lectio 365 and 5 min prayer. I kept up my higher protein breakfasts and lunches, successfully converting them to dairy-free options. This month my practice will be foam rolling. Three times a week is a habit (gardening, photography and blogging): mostly successful. Read 52 books this year: I finished five books in April. The tracker in Goodreads says I’m three books ahead of schedule. Travel: We had a relaxing break at my parents’ over Easter, catching up with my family. Towards the end…
