I’m back … and a teaser

The Tesselated Pavement, Eaglehawk Neck

We are back from our holiday in Tasmania. We spent the first weekend on the Tasman Peninsula, then four nights in Hobart before returning to the Tasman Peninsula with the Tasmanian Walking Company for the Three Capes Walk. Everything was so good, but the hike was the highlight of the trip. The highest sea cliffs in the southern hemisphere, cloud forests, a test of nerves for myself on The Blade, all complimented by comfortable beds, yummy food and good wine. I plan to give a blow-by-blow rundown, but in the meantime, here is a little teaser …

Convict Church, Port Arthur
Tasmanian Devil
Denman’s Cove. We were dropped here to start our hike.
Our lunch stop. Second day on the Three Capes Track
The Blade with Tasman Island in the background.

We arrived home yesterday and now I need to work my way back into my routines. I have been for my run, but now I need to get to work.

How do you go with re-entries?

Those views are STUNNING. I’m so glad you had a great trip and I can’t wait to hear all about it.

Re-entries? THEY SUCK. I struggle every single time. Not a fan!

Beautiful pictures! I especially like the tasmanian devil. There’s a part of me that is glad to be home, but also a part that doesn’t want to let go of the vacation. Re-entry is difficult.

I honestly enjoy re-entries… I love traveling but at the same time I love coming back home. To my own living room, my own bedroom, and kitchen. It’s comforting, after being away for a while. I usually try to leave 2 to 3 days for re-entry. Minimum two. Otherwise, I become overwhelmed 🙂
I also do everything before we leave- clean the house, change sheets, etc.
